Okay, so I'll be moving out to Charlottesville, VA next month for college, and I'm curious about the lit life out there. Are there many author visits? Lit lover get-togethers? Book festivals? If you know about the C-Ville lit life, please let me know in a comment!

ReplyDeleteWe have a huge literary festival each year, called the Virginia Festival of the Book (http://www.vabook.org/index.html/).
Author visits are VERYYY rare, unfortunately :( We're a bit more than 2 hours away from DC though, and they get a lot of visits, if that's something you'd be able to get to.
I live an hour from Cville. There aren't a lot of events, but the VA Festival of the Book draws some good authors and there are some DC area authors that come around the VA area. Hopefully we'll see each other at some event! :)
